Blue Chip -
Blue Chip stocks refer to the stocks of large, well-known, established
companies that are typically thought to be 'safe' investments because of their
low risk to change. A portfolio should try to keep a balance of blue chip
stocks as well as some higher risk investments.
Some popular blue chip stocks
include companies like Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft, and Wal-Mart.
