Stock Market - The stock market refers to the vehicle in
which publicly traded stocks are exchanged. Traditionally, the stock market
would be a place where company representatives and investors (or their
representatives) would meet to buy and sell portions of ownership in their
company.
Today, the stock market is automated and most exchanges take place
electronically online via real-time buying and selling of stock.
